MLB Interleague Play, Atlanta Braves at Tampa Bay Devil Rays
June 25, 2006: St Petersburg Florida, USA. A day
that the lights went on on the Devil Rays. During game action, a severe
thunderstorm roared thru Saint Petersburg and knocked out power to Tropicana
Field. Play was suspended for over 30 minutes until the power was restored. The
Trop was also invaded by Walt Disney Pirates. The gang from Disney, while
taking a break as the new attraction is finished. Are barn storming and
promoting the new Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction in Orlando Florida. While
the pirate captain was singing Take Me Out To The Ball game, the Rays were
getting taken to the woodshed by the Braves. Braves starter and winning pitcher
Chuck James, faced 30 batters and gave up one run. Relief pitcher, Jorge Sosa
came in and faced 4 batters to finish of the Devil Rays. Final score, Atlanta
4, Rays 1 in nine
innings.
